Barber shops rely heavily on walk in traffic. Although there are many people that prefer to make appointments for getting their hair cut and more, many more people prefer to go at their own convenience in between their daily routine.

There are many reasons why a barber shop would benefit from a sidewalk sign or two. One of the main reasons is often location. Many barber shops are located in small buildings or sections and are often times overlooked. It could also be that the actual shop is not visible from the road, has no main sign into the complex it resides in or is simply in a corner of a building that does not get much drive through traffic. Whichever the reason, one thing is for sure; there is lack of exposure.

We have all been there; walking on the sidewalk or in the park and have seen a sign that advertised something or informed us of an event. Often times it is something we have never heard of or thought of. For this reason, we followed the sign to wherever it led us. Yes, that is an effective advertising method.
